How to calculate cubic yards
A cubic yard is 27 cubic feet (3 ft × 3 ft × 3 ft). To find yardage for any material:
Cubic yards = (Length ft × Width ft × Depth ft) ÷ 27
Cubic feet → cubic yards: ft³ ÷ 27 (cf to cy)
Square yards → cubic yards: yd² × (depth ft ÷ 3)
